Overview

Jaguar built the second-generation XF around an aluminium-intensive monocoque that was up to 190kg lighter than its predecessor, and then dropped the F-Type's twin-vortex supercharged V6 into the engine bay. The result was one of the most capable and quietly thrilling executive saloons of the 2010s. 

Where the XF S really earned its keep was on a cross-country B-road: the all-aluminium double-wishbone suspension, closely related to the F-Type's setup, poured the car down the road with superb body control and a brilliantly plush ride. The steering was talkative and well-weighted, the ZF eight-speed box slick through the paddles, and the whole package had a warmth and fluidity that the German alternatives rarely matched.

This 2016 example in the fabulous colour Aurora Red was first registered in January of that year and has covered just over 36,000 miles in the hands of two owners. It's been in current ownership since January 2024, sought out after a long search for this specific model and specification.

That kind of deliberate purchase tends to lead to a particular standard of care, and the seller has clearly looked after it, with significant recent expenditure to keep on top of the maintenance items.
