Overview

Introduced in 2016, the second-generation Porsche Panamera (code 971) built upon its predecessors’ blend of Porsche thrills and estate practicality. Offering customers a revised, less controversially-styled outward appearance, more in keeping with the 911 of the era’s aesthetics, most notably the wrap-around rear light bar and revised front end to bring it in-line with Porsche’s design language of the time. 

Offered in base, 4S, GTS, Turbo and Turbo S configurations, there were a myriad of models, specifications and engines available (including a diesel option, since dropped for the current era of Panameras) but the cream of the crop was arguably the Turbo S E-Hybrid, which is exactly what we have here. With incredible performance (a combined output of 680bhp from the V8 and electric motors) the Turbo S E-Hybrid could match the GT3 of the day for a 0-62 sprint time, yet seat 4 or 5 people in typically Porsche comfort and luxury, and carry their luggage to boot.

This 2019-registered example boasts a fantastic specification including a number of desirable interior upgrades, notably with the optional four-seat configuration, and is finished in the fantastic shade of Genetian Blue Metallic. • There is a small scratch on the nearside rear wheel arch, along with some lighter imperfections above on the rear ‘C’ pillar panel and one on the nearside front edge of the rear bumper

• The front end exhibits a typical smattering of small stone chips, as do the leading edges of the rear arches

• Being particular, we’d note that the rear bumper looks to have somewhat of a cloudy ‘orange peel’ finish to the paintwork

• A larger stone chip is visible on the inner edge of the offside headlight, and a pair of larger chips are visible on the nearside upper corner of the bonnet

• All four wheels would benefit from a refurbishment to bring them back to their best; the seller notes that there is some slight degradation of the lacquer in the centre of the wheels
