Overview

From Magnum PI's 308 GTS to the incredibly exclusive 599 Superamerica Aperta, convertible Ferraris have always delivered. Evocative and alluring in equal measure there's just something about a drop-top prancing horse that makes us all go a bit giddy, and the F430 Spider is no exception. 

Named for its 4.3-litre flat-plane crankshaft V8 developing 483bhp, it's not just the raucous performance that impresses with the F430 but the soundtrack as well and hitting peak power at 8,500rpm is still one of the best sounds any car can ever make. Period. Penned by Pininfarina it still looks absolutely gorgeous, too, and despite the earliest models now being 20 years old the F430 is aging like a fine Chianti.  

Loaded with enough bells and whistles to satisfy most, including a computer-controlled limited-slip active differential and driver-controlled settings which modify the car's stability control, "Skyhook" electronic suspension, gearbox, throttle response, and the E-Diff, the F430 can be dialled in to suit whomever is lucky enough to be behind the wheel.

Looking particularly menacing in its black on black colourway this 2005 Ferrari F430 Spider has covered just over 41K miles from new and features the Graziano Trasmissioni six-speed F1 automated manual gearbox.
