Overview

The Bentley Continental GT really does do it all. Performance? Check. Luxury? Check. Comfort? Check. Since its inception way back in 2003, the car not only saved the company that spawned it but it remains one of the greatest modern Bentleys. Gorgeous to look at and sublime to drive if you're after a quintessential GT then the Continental really does do it best.

Before going down the habitual hybrid route with the latest incarnation though, as is the norm nowadays, Bentley's third generation of its celebrated grand tourer was offered with both a 6.0-litre W12 and a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8, with the V8 providing the broadest appeal. Only a fraction slower to 60mph than the W12 and with less than 10mph lost at the top end, the V8 Continental GT doesn't seem like a compromise and actually feels more agile on the road due to less weight up front; if sheer performance figures don't matter to you then the V8 makes a great case for itself. Not only is it still brutally fast and endowed with the same four-wheel drive system but it's slightly cheaper to live with, too.

This particular 2020 Bentley Continental GT is equipped with the 542bhp V8 paired with an eight-speed automatic gearbox and the aforementioned adaptive four-wheel drive system. Presenting in an incredibly attractive black over cream leather interior colour combination, the car has covered just over 8K miles since new, which equates to about 1,300 miles per year to date. Beautifully presented and fresh from a recent main dealer service earlier this year the car is reportedly driving perfectly. We think it’s a cracker.
