Overview

When Porsche strapped a turbocharger to its seminal 911 model in the 1970s it changed the game forever and ever since, forced induction has played a major role in every single generation to date. When you see that “turbo” badge on the boot lid you know you're in for a treat. So with myriad turbo models to choose from, whether it be the original 930 or the current 631bhp Turbo S, it can be difficult to know which one to go for. Well, a lot of people would argue that the 997 is the sweet spot between the old school widowmakers and the new breed of tech-laden 911s, and they may very well be right. 

Debuting in 2004 the sixth generation of Porsche's flagship turbo model combined excellent handling with blistering performance and provided a perfect level of comfort, reliability and practicality without feeling bloated. To this day the original 997 Turbo remains a rather impressive machine, especially in post-2011 facelift guise, like this one.

With a completely new six-cylinder boxer engine boosted by two turbochargers, power comes in at a very respectable 493bhp and the equipment list available from the factory was suitably impressive too, including a seven-speed PDK double clutch gearbox providing drive to all four wheels. The result of all this is a rather staggering 0-60mph time of around three three seconds and a top speed of almost 200mph. 

This low mileage 2011 facelift Cabriolet looks suitably menacing in its all black colour scheme and comes fully loaded from the factory with the Sport Chrono package, sports exhaust and extended leather interior with adaptive sports Seats, to name just a few of the car's features.
