Overview
TVR's Tuscan Speed Six went on sale in 2000 with an engine designed by Al Melling and built in-house by TVR. That 4.0-litre straight-six makes 360bhp, good for 0-62mph in 4.2 seconds and 180mph. Add the Mk1's triple-headlight face and a targa roof, and you've got a car many regard as among Blackpool's most theatrical creations.
This blue example is an early 2000 car, and its money has gone where it matters. Marque specialists have looked after the mechanicals, with DG Sportscars and Powers Performance handling the most recent work. In current ownership since 2007, it's been a weekend car throughout, the vendor tells us.
At 60,305 miles, it wears its years openly, and the paint and cabin carry the marks of a car that's been used as TVR intended. Every one of them is detailed in the sections below. With the important stuff sorted, a new owner gets to freshen the cosmetics at their own pace while enjoying the car in the meantime.
Fire up that straight-six, drop the targa panel in the boot and point it at your favourite B-road. You'll soon understand why so many enthusiasts fall for these cars. This is a driver's Tuscan, ready to be enjoyed.
