Mk5 Golf GTI, 5 Dr DSG, 86000 miles, full history

This is a really good example of the PH Hero Mk5 Golf GTI. I bought this car in 2014 as runaround and kept it a lot longer simply because it was so good and such a likeable car...reason for sale? I have bought another Golf. This is a 3 owner car (including me) and I have a full history for the car going back to the first owner. The original lady owner had a personal plate and the previous owner transferred to it current number - picked out by him. I have all the paper work for this for the curious/cautious. This Golf has a low mileage as befitted a one careful lady owner, the second owner used the car only at the weekends, and I travel a great deal spending a fair proportion of my time out of the UK on business, so the mileage is well below the national average for a car of this year. Mileage is currently 85914, not likely to increase much as it's no longer going to take me the 10 miles to my place of work.

The interior is in excellent condition even the drivers seat bolster is in great shape. The car is on Michelin Pilot tyres fronts a virtually new and all 4 wheels have recently been refurbished, powder coated, not painted. I have service this car regularly, and changed the oil and filter for the DSG more often than required to keep this lovely gearbox in top form. The car has been serviced locally by a specialist, and was deemed to be a "good one" - one of the mechanics there was happy to buy it, but I wasn't selling - so I'll take the expert view. This Golf has a few extras worth pointing out - heated seats, air conditioned glove box, tyre pressure monitor, still working but not in an annoying way, and cruise control. It also has a few additions from the previous owner:

New headlamps - the old ones had fogged and were replaced

S3 Brakes and braided hoses at the front (no, the car has not been tracked) - which seem very powerful - pads and discs have plenty of life in them

Upgraded entertainment/bluetooth/phone/radio/SD card unit from a later model, see pics, works seamlessly

Edition 30 rear valance - tidies up the rear of the car and makes it look smarter than the usual matt black plastic below the bumper.

Bad points - one small depression, in the rear hatch, was there when I bought the car and bothers me not at all, see pictures. A few touched in stonechips on the bonnet, touch paint will come with the car

Car will be sold with full size spare wheel and tyre, acquired by previous owner, car has a space saver as std.

This is a really good clean Golf GTi with no front wing or rear hatch badge area rust. It's been properly looked after and serviced with no scrimping. It's been enjoyed but never thrashed, by a mature (me) owner. It's a lovely car looking for a good home.

Its priced well, for its year and very good condition. As above I simply have another newer Golf, thanks for reading
