1955 Triumph

Only produced for 2 years the TR2 ‘long door’ was the predecessor to the TR3 and built-in small numbers compared to it with most again exported in left-hand drive.

This is a rare UK RHD Primrose car restored in 2009 to a very high standard mainly by Manvers Triumph utilising many original TR2 features such as double bonnet catches, steering box, painted hinges etc.

Sensible upgrades include:

TR3 Front disc brakes

Brooklands style seats

Powder-coated chassis

High port cylinder head

Stainless steel exhaust

Upgraded gearbox with overdrive on 3rd/4th

The result is a stunning unspoilt example with original disc wheels and details that can be used reliably for touring and long-distance journeys.

There is a good history file including restoration photos showing the great detail taken during the 5-year process.
