HJA brings you this super rare Mitsubishi EVO 8 MR RS. The rare early model Evolutions are now extremely sought-after meaning prices are constantly on the rise worldwide.

Some info about the MR RS edition:

same as RS 5-Speed, with aluminum roof, MR Badging, carbon fibre spoiler, gauge pack, grey interior colour dashboard (same option as RS 5-Speed with Bilstein suspension, black suede Recaro or basic weight-saving fabric seats, BBS alloy wheels or lightweight steel wheels)

Basic “Rally sport” with LSD and minimal interior. Brembo brakes, Airconditioning, power windows, mirrors and door locks, audio system, rear wing, sound deadening material, map lamps and ABS were all optional to save weight for the track.

Exterior In stunning condition being a grade 4 it is a no accident history; this has been truly cherished by its owner in Japan. All the panels are original, the paintwork still has that showroom gloss and believe it or not the car still has the original factory paint.

Interior is also in great condition with no major wear or tear to any fabric or trims. Still has the factory basic/lightweight RS interior, the only addition being an aftermarket stereo system.

Mechanically the car runs spot on, starts and idles perfectly with no smoke or misfires. The engine pulls strong throughout the rpm and the gearbox is fluent and the clutch has plenty of life left. We have also just serviced it using only top-end filters and fluids.

As you can see from the underneath pics the chassis is still in amazing condition especially for an Evo 8. Everything still looks pretty OEM under there with no major rust issues that unfortunately ruin so many of these cult classics.

Another point to note is It also had a valid shaken before it left Japan; this means the car had passed the stringent Japanese testing which is a real testament to how well it has been maintained.

Sourcing fresh import examples like this are becoming ever more difficult. Overall if you are after a solid example to enjoy yourself, to be part of a collection or as an investment look no further.
