Lotus Esprit S1 1977 Factory LHD 23,203 miles
Rare car as these were made in limited numbers and to find an original car in this condition and mileage is extremely difficult. Possibly one of the most desirable and collectable models. The S1 being the purist shape, an original car and with all the inherent ideas of the move from the previous models of the Elan/Europa/+2 as Lotus were expanding into the new generation of cars.
In red with original brown/biscuit 'crushed' velour interior and seats. Correct green faced Veglia instruments, steering wheel and fittings and the correct GKN Wolfrace wheels. Engine cover and spare wheel present. I also have a handbook for the car.
The Lotus requires recommissioning as the car has been in long term storage (4 years). The engine does start and has excellent oil pressure, does not smoke and pulls strongly. All the gears can be selected. Driver's door has dropped and minor blemishes on the body work. Never been in an accident, near perfect chassis as the car is from the USA. The car has a UK V5 registration document. This is an excellent car needing just a little detailing and fettling.
