1963 Mini Classic

Arun Ltd are delighted to offer this wonderful and rare Mini Traveler finished in Tartan Red with matching and original interior. The first owner sadly passed in the late 80's then the car changed hands twice within a short time. Mrs Stanbury (current keeper) then purchased the little car in 1988 at 20000 miles and has kept it ever since. Nothing of great note has happened until 2001 when 'ALB' (822A!) was fitted with a 998cc engine, the same that was fitted to the Cooper (we have the original engine which will come with the car). The next major event in ALB's life came in 2012 when it went to the marque specialist, 'Dorchester Mini Center' where it was to undergo a three year restoration costing towards �15,000 which is supported by invoices in the file. Works have included the removal of all panels, wings and skins, refitted with new and sprayed accordingly (�10,618). New lenses (including a halogen light set) chromework and grill (rechromed) were fitted at this time, a new windscreen and a replacement headlining and various mechanical items were changed at this time. After works and as confirmed by the MOT trail, ALB has seen little use and therefore has retained the fresh and restored look without looking 'over restored' as many others do. Most importantly the interior retains the originality rather than having later seats as do some of the others on the market today!. Coming to its new owner with a full workshop inspection, a new mot and a warranty, a delightful little Mini that drives well and looks superbly after her makeover...
