PORSCHE 911 (996) CARRERA 4 - Manual IMS/RMS replaced 2002

Here we have a second series 2002 Porsche 911 996 Carrera 4 with 3.6 liter engine and manual gearbox in outstanding condition with only 80, 000 miles and 5 previous owners. The current owner a Porsche Owners Club Member has owned the car since September 2010 and intended to keep the car forever but unfortunately he has to sell the car due to poor health, his not the car’s, and is unable to drive it anymore.

The car presents as a well maintained and enthusiast owned 911 in Lapis Blue metallic paint and with full blue leather interior. This really is full leather, the first owner specified leather front and rear seats, door panels and dashboard. The car also comes with the “super comfortable and desirable” sports seats, Porsche Becker CD radio and Aluminum inlays for the gear lever and handbrake lever. The Carrera 4 wheels look superb and are fitted with the correct Porsche Specification and nearly new Michelin Pilot Sport tyres. Definitely, a sign of an owner who cares about his car. The final part of this desirable specification is the exclusion of a sunroof, so no possibility of leaks or corrosion, a stiffer body shell and a lovely Alcantara headlining.

The car was supplied new in January 2002 by Porsche dealer Evans Halshaw in the West Midlands and was maintained by Porsche Centers until 2009 when the previous owner started using a Barnstable based Porsche specialist. This same specialist has maintained the 911 from 2009 to date and was used by both the current and previous owner. Careful maintenance over the years has included various suspension components, a new Stainless Steel exhaust in 2016 and the radiator pods cleaned and a new a/c condenser fitted in 2013.

The 911 comes complete with 2 keys, the owners handbook pack, stamped service book, invoices going back to 2009 an unused tool kit, space saver tyre and rare Porsche tyre compressor.

The IMS bearing will be replaced with an upgraded EPS bearing and the RMS will be replaced and the 911 will come with a full MOT.

Having driven this 911 200 miles back from Exeter I can attest to how well it drives, everything works as it should and it just feels “tight” verifying its careful ownership and maintenance.

A 911 of this caliber for less than £20k, that is something of a bargain that I am sure won’t continue forever!!
