_____________
Offered from my private collection and in excellent condition throughout. In my ownership it always been kept in a heated garage/storage unit. This is a very reluctant sale due to loss of some of my storage. In 2022 this Caterham will be 25 years old at which point it can legally be imported into many countries throughout the world including the USA.
The Seven was first exhibited at the London Motorshow in 1957 and to celebrate forty continuous years of production the 40th Anniversary (Ruby) Special Edition was made. Just 67 were produced all in distinctive Ruby pearlescent paint with a Silver bonnet stripe to give the Anniversary Seven a unique finish. The model was available with the K-Series or the rarer 2.0 Vauxhall 16v engine (a £3,500 option). The 40th anniversary HPC was one of the most expensive 7s produced at the time. A very rare Caterham especially with the 6 speed gearbox.
The Caterham Seven HPC provides such performance that its very name was derived from the High Performance Driving Course that Caterham insisted owners completed before they took delivery of the early cars. Which was a wise move, the HPC cars offer true supercar performance. At launch the HPC was the most powerful Caterham you could buy.
