The opportunity arose to purchase this piece of rare nostalgia and we jumped at the opportunity.Its a small turbo lux which has been tastefully modified to a high standard including period correct Morrette style headlights, 18 inch Engel Alloy wheels freshly refurbished and wrapped in brand new Toyo Proxies all round. Under the bonnet it has had the aircon removed and upgraded Spec-R header tanks fitted along with brand new Roose Motorsport coolant and ancillary hose kit, brand new boost hose set, ITG air filter, NGK Iridium spark plugs, Bosch 803 Green Injectors and 3 bar MAP sensor. The car was then updated with a new software map and is running circa 300bhp. This gives enough power to keep up with the modern day traffic but hasn't been overdone to ruin the sensory experience that an Escort Cosworth gives.At the same time of this mini overhaul the timing belt, tensioner, waterpump and aux belt were all replaced and a major service was also carried out including gearbox oil and transfer box oil.
