A unique opportunity to own the only UK supplied, 7-speed manual, 650BHP Corvette C7.R Edition in existence.

With no less than 8 GT-Class wins and 10 Manufacturers Titles achieved at the Le-Mans 24hrs, the Corvette C7.R Edition was built to commemorate Chevrolet’s racing success at La Sarthe.

Production figures for the C7.R were initially planned for just 500 examples to be built for the American market but in response to global demand, a further 150 C7.R Editions were offered to overseas clients.

Available in either Black or Corvette Racing Yellow with a choice of Coupe or Convertible body options and either manual or automatic transmission, UK allocation for the C7.R Edition was initially set at just one car – this example. Although a second, automatic transmission allocation was later offered to the UK, this example remains the only UK supplied manual C7.R in existence.

Based on the Z06 model, the C7.R Edition featured the top level of 3LZ trim together with the Z07 Performance Pack both included as standard equipment. This was the highest level of Corvette specification available and featured enormous Carbon Ceramic brakes together with extensive use of carbon fibre and ground-effect options. In addition to the race-refined enhancements, further equipment included front and rear cameras, Bose sound system and the latest Infotainment system. Additional features extended to the interior carbon trim package together with black leather and Alcantara with yellow stitching, competition seats complete with heating and cooling options, carbon fibre door sills and commemorative plaque. A comprehensive ‘Head-Up Display’ system together with a Performance Data Recorder (PDR) developed in conjunction with Cosworth complete the list of factory options fitted.

The exterior equipment combined unique Corvette racing graphics matched with carbon fibre and black wheels with yellow edges and race inspired centre caps. Additional details include exposed carbon fibre to both the bonnet and roof with unique vent and door mirror colours.

The C7.R Edition was also supplied with an exclusively designed car cover which matched the racing livery of the competition car and is supplied with this example.

As standard, the car is fitted with the magnificent 6.2 litre V8 Supercharged dry sump engine, producing 650 bhp, and 650 lbs torque, matched to a 7-speed manual gearbox with rev-match facility.

Having covered just 10,000 miles and in as-new condition, this C7.R manual coupe is a completely original, one owner, UK supplied example. Finished in immaculate Corvette Racing Yellow paintwork with black leather and Alcantara interior and featuring a removable centre roof panel. The Corvette has been meticulously cared for by its one and only keeper and other than a single slow speed parade lap of the Goodwood Motor Circuit, it has only ever been driven on the road.

Supplied new by the only official U.K. agent, Ian Allen Motors of Virginia Water on 1st March 2016 following an agonising 2-year ordeal to obtain the car, the service history is as follows,

It is also worth noting that all the Main Dealer services, including MOT’s have yet to exceed £500 – something anyone with a Ferrari, Lamborghini, Porsche or most other things for that matter will find astonishing.

Having previously owned a UK supplied Corvette C6 Z06 from 2006- 2018, the owner currently has a Corvette C8 convertible Launch Edition due for arrival in October later this year.

However, there has been much discussion and forum talk in the US regarding the last of the line of the ‘front-engined Corvettes’, which together with mixed reactions to the new mid-engined C8 variant, makes the C7 a sought after vehicle particularly in the Z06 guise, let alone the R-Edition.
