2000 Land Rover

This Land Rover is one of just two ‘prototype’ Discovery 2 Autobiography models built by the marque’s Special Vehicles Operations department, with a superb factory specification. It is powered by the 4.0-litre Rover V8, coupled to the five-speed manual gearbox. It comes with an extensive service history, also benefiting from an engine replacement in 2013, which has now covered just 55,000 miles. The car took part in the largest parade of Land Rover and Range Rover vehicles, totalling 640 cars, at The Billing Off Road Show in Northampton on 30 June 2018, as signified by its Guinness World Records Certificate of Participation. This Land Rover Discovery 2 Autobiography was specified with Damson Red paintwork, a bespoke red leather interior, 18-inch alloy wheels and wood veneer inlays. The cabin is equipped with electrically adjustable heated seats, air conditioning, dual rear screens, a Harman Kardon sound system and a sunroof. Its original owner’s manuals and service book are all present, along with its heritage certificate, an insurance valuation, a raft of maintenance invoices, and two keys. Its most recent service was performed in November 2020 at 167,384 miles, where technicians at Guy Salmon Land Rover in Northampton replaced the spark plugs, horn unit, offside front headlamp bulb, offside rear brake calliper back plate and the rocker cover gaskets. The clutch master cylinder, rear differential pinion seal and rear oil seals were replaced at Guy Salmon Land Rover in January 2020, at 164,743 miles. The vehicle was also Waxoyled by Before ‘n’ After Rustproofing in Newbury in December 2013. We have fully inspected the car prior to advertising a found a coupe of minor wear and tear related issues which we have addressed in our workshop. This work includes replacing the front drag link bar, Nearside front lower ball joint and Front brake discs and pads along with carrying out an MOT which has no advisories.
