The Mondial “T” was released in 1989 and was the final variant of the Mondial. The Mondial was seen as a huge success for Ferrari having made nearly 8,000 models during its production cycle, however, within the final “T” Variant, only 1000 3.4 T Cabriolets were ever produced and there are believed to have been only 51 manual right-hand drive examples. It gains its name as the “3.4 T” as although Mondials of previous years had both their engines and gearboxes mounted transversely; the Mondial T kept the transverse orientation for the gearbox but had a longitudinally mounted engine. This configuration of engine and gearbox formed a “T” shape and allowed the engine to sit lower in the chassis for better handling (a set up still used within the modern V8 range) and it gained a new 3.4L engine rather than a 2.3L allowing for an extra 40 hp taking the total to 300 hp. She has had only 8 previous keepers her most recent purchasing her from SSC Specialist Cars. She has been superbly looked after with folders of paperwork and she has had £13,000 spent on her mechanically since 2020 at Autofficiana Ferrari Specialists! Within the past 6 years/500 miles only, she has had 3 Sets of Cambelts even though she was in storage between 2015-19. She had a new roof & Clutch + Slave Cylinder (with a recent report stating the clutch to be only 30% worn) all supplied in 2010.
