BMW E30 M3 from the Classic Heroes Collection

The E30 M3 requires no introduction to the motoring enthusiast. It has the finest competition history of any tin-top racer and will go down in the record books as the single model to have won more international races, rallies and hill climb championships than any other car. Driven by legends such as Stuck, Cecotto, Ravaglia, Soper, Pirro, and Quester to name but a few. The road version has gone down in the history books as the most flattering saloon car chassis of all time.

It is now very rare to find any E30 M3 as original and unmolested as this example, which has never been restored and is all original panels.

The car is exceptionally well known to us. I already had a soft spot for this particular Alpine white early 200 bhp car having cared for it for some years for the last two owners and sold it to the last owner. When this owner contacted me in 2007 wanting to sell the car, I made the immediate decision that this lovely M3 should be added to the Classic Heroes Collection. During this time the car has been cared for by our workshop team ensuring it was kept ready for use.

Built on 19th January 1987, it was in the first batch of 5000 cars needed for homologation. Sold new in Germany and owned by a BMW main dealer for the first 12 months before being sold to the first private owner in Germany. Eleven years later the car was sold to the 3rd owner now in the UK. I maintained the car for 7 years during his ownership and then sold the car on his behalf to the 4th owner and continued to maintain the car for him before purchasing the car and adding it to our own collection.

The car will now pass through the hands of our workshop team to fully prepare for the new owner. This will ensure not just routine maintenance is up to date but also mechanical age-related preventive maintenance is performed. The following will be carried out.

The underside bodywork will then be washed, inspected, detailed and future proofed with clear cavity wax and Tectyl ML. This will be filmed and photographed as part of the cars history file.

Our intension is to hand this stunning M3 over to the new owner, not just serviced and MOT’d but prepared for the next 10 years of enthusiast motoring without surprises.

The new owner will be presented with all keys, service wallet, manuals, M3 supplement, BMW build certificate, original tools and a superb document file packed with invoices from the last three owners, every UK MOT, previous V5s and original German Fahrzeugbrief.
