******Some additional notes from the ad when I purchased it*****
“This car retains its galvanised shell from the factory, having never been welded, benefiting from Ziebert/Waxoyl rust-proofing from new.Under the rear decklid is the numbers-matching fuel-injected 2.7-litre flat-six, coupled to a ‘915’ five-speed manual transmission. When acquired by the vendor in 2017, the car was entirely original, having been kept in dry storage since 1997 in the possession of the previous keeper, who had owned the car since 1986.
There is a wonderfully authentic ‘patina’ across the bodywork, which can only be found on such an original car.
Its 2.7-litre flat-six was comprehensively rebuilt in 2019 by technicians at Nine Excellence in Horley, at a cost of around £25,000.
It was stripped, assessed and rebuilt with either re-machined or entirely new parts, including the fuel injectors, fuel injector lines, fuel pump, fuel distributor, warm-up regulator, fuel accumulator, fuel lines, distributor cap, rotor arm, HT leads, ignition coil and spark plugs.
The ‘915’ gearbox has been given a check over, where the oil was changed and a new clutch was fitted.
The brakes have been overhauled with new discs, callipers, handbrake shoes, braided hoses, a new master cylinder and new ancillaries.
The exhaust heat exchanger flaps and heat-proof piping have been replaced.
Various exterior rubbers have been replaced.
It was last serviced in 2020, where technicians changed the engine oil and filter. “
