1981 Porsche

motodrome are very pleased to offer this gorgeous left hand drive 1981 Porsche 911 SC Targa manual, finished in Red with beige trim.

Originally delivered to Utah USA, it’s spent the past 40 years plus stateside, and seems to have been looked after assiduously by all it’s keepers there. An English ex-pat bought it in 2019 whilst working out there, and loved it so much that, when he returned to the UK in 2022, the 911 came with him, and is now fully UK registered and showing just 1 owner.

It was originally supplied with:

• Air conditioning (this seems to still be working)

• Cruise control ( this isn’t working)

• Option group J17 which includes 16in forged alloy Fuchs wheels, front spoiler, and Bosch foglights

• Electric windows

• Leather front seats

• 5-speed 915 manual gearbox

It’s otherwise standard and unmolested, save for a Momo steering wheel (we have the original) and upgraded, but period looking, Becker stereo with DAB.

Odometer reading 111000 miles supported by excellent service history from original invoice onwards, original service book with 10 main dealer stamps, and a large folder of bills thereafter.

Engine-wise it’s had all the important upgrades including head studs replaced, hydraulic chain tensioner, air box pop-off valve, and the engine was overhauled around 10 years ago by Franz Blam Racing of Tucker, Georgia, who are well-known for their Porsche work.

Further mechanical upgrades include upgraded AC compressor and blower, new evaporator with condenser and air box valve

We think the paint is original, and if so has survived remarkably well, with just some stonechipping on the bonnet and front bumper.

Basically it’s wanted for nothing, looks superb, and drives just as it should – I can feel a trip to the Alps coming on…
