Description
1975 Lancia Fulvia 1.3S Monte Carlo
A special edition model launched to commemorate Lancia's 1972 victory at the Monte Carlo rally. The main distinguishing feature of this special model was the livery which was in the style of the works rally cars, with matt black bonnet and boot lid. To further achieve the look of the works cars they were supplied without front and rear bumpers and fitted with distinctive rectangular fog lamps. This model used its own unique body shell with flared wheel arches as per the HF. The car also featured the HF interior and was fitted with the same bucket seats, finished in black leatherette. This car is also fitted with the desirable HF magnesium wheels.
Imported into the UK from Italy in 2015 the car has had just the one owner since arriving on these shores. There is a large file of invoices detailing this owners expenditure. Particular attention was paid to the driving characteristics of the car, with new shock absorbers and various other suspension components being replaced to ensure the Fulvia famous sure-footed handling characteristics were maintained. Since arriving here at Avantgarde last year the vehicle has had a high quality repaint to ensure the car looks as good as it drives.
On file is a letter from Fiat Archivio Storico confirming that this is indeed a genuine Monte Carlo manufactured in the Lancia Turin Factory. A very rare opportunity indeed.
