The Sagaris Story continues……..

And this one, as the title says, is “Hidden Treasure”.!!

There cannot be many one owner TVR Sagaris left on the planet with less than 5,000 miles on the clock. Most have between 20,000 and 60,000 mls on the odometer. Y8 SAG is therefore a very rare car indeed. It is also in a very sought-after colour.

Having remained in the ordering dealership, Hexham Horseless Carriages, since 2006 (the year in which TVR Blackpool closed its doors) the car was duly purchased and registered on 1 Mar 2008 - as Y8 SAG - for its one and only owner..

When he first viewed the car , it was in its original factory finished colour - Silver. However, he wanted the car in Chameleon Orange and so it was totally refinishede in his stipulated colour by ex factory paintshop staff now working as "Surface and Design Ltd" in the original factory premises.

He added his Sagaris to his extensive collection of cars in Cumbria, which helps to explain Y8 TVR's limited useage - a mere 268 mls in 2008 rose to 4,296 mls in 2012.

Eleven years later, in 2023, the total now stands at 4,590 miles. During this time, servicing was always carried out by Hexham Horseless Carriages.

So, in a nutshell, TVR dealer support was consistent , the mileage is very low, the car is in lovely condition, and now (perhaps relevant?) this Sagaris is ULEZ compliant !!

There were originally only 210 of TVR’s final Halo Supercars built in Blackpool. There are now just 100 registered and 56 SORNd (according to the DVLA’s “How Many Left” website). So the stunning Sagaris are becoming gradually rarer - and arguably more valuable - all the time!

The specification of this car has remained unchanged since its manufacture by TVR in 2006, (other than for its colour change and an In Car Entertainment upgrade), as follows:

Str8six has taken the opportunity to restore this Sagaris to a condition better than when this TVR left the factory 17 years ago. This work involved:

The car’s technical condition following its preparation for sale has led us to apply

Str8six’s envied “All the 12s“ Sales specification to the car. This comprises:

Full 12,000 miles service completed before delivery, 12 mths/12,000 miles Full Wear

and Tear Warranty covering parts and labour on the whole vehicle The car also

has a 12 Volt trickle charger and a 12 Volt Anderson Jump Lead.

Finally , it will be supplied with 6 months road fund licence.
