1999 Caterham VX project (100bhp)

This VX engine Caterham has just come into PT after 10 years in storage and is currently not running. We have had the car professionally cleaned and have been amazed at the condition inside and out. The paintwork is as good as it looks in the pictures.

We are selling this car as a project for the advertised price of £9995 or we will get the car running and sell for £11495. For the latter we will do the following:

Drain the oil and filter and replace

Drain the fuel and replace

Remove and replace the battery

Bleed the brakes with a full flush

Ensure the car starts and idles on the button

If the car is sold as a project we can confirm the engine turns over by hand, the clutch pedal is fully operational and the brake pedal is surprisingly good!

We have a small amount of paperwork with the car and can confirm it is a 1 owner car and has 2 x sets of keys. PT have emailed Martin Phipps (Caterham archivist) and we are awaiting any information he might have on the car.
