EXTERIOR When this vehicle was ordered by the first owner the gentleman specified Velvet Red Metallic which at the time was something extremely uncommon in the Porsche 911 world (most 911's of this era the late 80's were finished in either guards Red or Grand Prix White). This makes our Carrera in modern times a lot more desirable because of the rarity value because of the colour combination. The condition of the Vehicle speaks for its self within the pictures on our website but we haven't seen a Carrera like this for many years. The paintwork is totally original with no cosmetic refurbishment undertaken (the main issue you have in this era is this Porsche would have been painted in oil based paint, this practice is now gone and vehicles today are painted using water based paint). This car's paintwork is absolutely outstanding and totally original. INTERIOR Our Carrera is finished inside in the best interior at the time, Black Pinstripe. The car has full Sports Seats and the condition of the interior is as you can see from the pictures, as it left the factory. It is incredible that a car that is 25 years old can still look as it did the day it came out of the gates at Stuttgart including the familiar 911 new car smell. The car is also fitted with the Blaupunkt Toronto Stereo that it came with from new and we also have the original instruction manual. EQUIPMENT To add to this Porsche's fabulous provenance is the fact that we have the original bill of sale from Malaya Garages, Billingshurst, West Sussex dated 1st November 1988 showing all the owners details and the cost options. The cost options on this particular vehicle was metallic Velvet Red paint at a cost of £617.00 + VAT and top tint windscreen at £42.00 + VAT ENGINE & TRANSMISSION 3.2 litre flat 6, coupled with the Renowned five-speed gearbox sourced from Getrag, model number G50 with proven BorgWarner synchronizers. WHEELS, TYRES AND BRAKES Totally Original 16'' Fuchs Alloy Wheels included on the rear are the original valve stays. One of the most important things about the originality of this car is that the Alloy Wheels have never been refurbished and are as they were when first built. These particular wheels are finished in Black with Polished Silver rims & Black Porsche Crest Centre Caps. These Superb Wheels are shod with matching New Pirelli Tyres – Rear - 225/50 ZR16 N3 P Zero Asimmetrico Front - 205/55 ZR16 N3 P Zero Direzionale Perfect condition throughout and still retain their original factory finish apart from a small scratch to the rim edge on the passenger side rear wheel, which we feel does not warrant a repair. The Brake discs and Callipers show no sign of wear and also still retain their original factory finish. HISTORY FILE This Vehicle is incredibly special, it was ordered by a private gentleman from Hastings West Sussex from Malaya Garages, Billingshurst, West Sussex and took delivery of his new Porsche on the 1st of November 1988 we even have the original bill of sale with the Porsche dealer hand writing on to say that they have received the cheque for thirty nine thousand pounds. The original bill of sale was for thirty nine and a half thousand pounds, the gentleman kept this Porsche until selling it on the 3rd December 2012 having kept the car an incredible 24 years. The vehicle was stored in his air conditioned garage for all this time in his ownership thus making this not only the most original and perfect condition 3.2 sport out there on the market today but also the fact that the original owner had kept the car for 24 years in its 25 years of existence. A comprehensive file of original MOT certificates, tax discs and letters from Porsche are included with this vehicle. The original handbook wallet complete with all original books, manuals and Keycard are present and presented in excellent condition. MODEL HISTORY First Introduced in 1963 the 911 was developed as a more powerful, larger and more comfortable replacement for the 356. The earliest edition of the 911 was given a 1991cc air cooled flat 6 boxer engine which produced around 128bhp. The superb 930 model of which we are selling was first introduced in 1985 and ran until 1989 when it was replaced with the 964. Equipped with a 3.2 litre flat 6, new inlet manifold and exhaust system. The 915 transmission was carried over from the SC series for the first three model years, however in 1987, the Carrera got a new five-speed gearbox sourced from Getrag, model number G50 with proven BorgWarner synchronizers.
