1966 FORD MUSTANG

motodrome offer this utterly splendid 1966 Ford Mustang 289 V8 Coupe 4-speed manual, finished in Pearlescent White with red stripes, and matching red/white interior.

Please note: it’s VIN and body tag show that this example started life as a 200cu in Mustang, before at some point being upgraded to 289cu in V8 specification. Not uncommon with Mustangs, but if it bothers you, please move on

This is a really nicely-specified example, including:

• Power brakes with SSBC disc front brake conversion

• JJC race and rally gauges

• Period-style but modern) stereo with aux function

• Chrome wheels with a matching set of Hercules HP4000 tyres

• GT front spotlamps

• Fully-dressed engine bay with strut brace, Edelbrock manifold, air filter, and rocker covers, and header exhausts

• Rear seat belts

• Bullet style wing mirrors

This one was imported from the US in 2010/11, and the last owner has kept it garaged and only brought out on high days and holidays in his 8-year tenure.

Odometer reading 46000 miles, and comes with stacks of history since it’s arrival in the UK. Highlights include:

• Engine rebuild in 2016 at 43628m by ModUrStang

• New clutch and flywheel 2022

It’s RFL, MOT and ULEZ exempt.

It is, in my opinion, a very fine Mustang, and both looks and sounds superb. Driving-wise, it’s absolutely fantastic, and it’s one of the quickest 289’s I’ve had.
