LOTUS EXIGE S1 2000

For Sale, my beloved but scruffy S1 Exige.

+20yrs of fun, trouble free motoring. Never tracked, lots of 'A' road blasting, maintained exclusively by South West Lotus, Tinhay. The poor thing spent most of the 20yrs with me in the east end of London - 20mph zones & evil speed bumps, the marks on the front splitter are a testimony to the later.

Upgrades : None. She is as original as they come

Other than all the replacements prescribed by the Lotus maintenance schedule, I've replaced the battery, a new SS exhaust, the coolant header tank cap, a front passenger side wheel bearing and the steering rack. The steering rack because i trusted one small task, remove the wheel bearing, to a bunch of local London morons who jacked the car up using the steering rack as the jacking point .. and bent it!

Even now ill health is the ONLY reason I'm selling the car plus my treatment requires a co-pay from me.

The sale includes the private number plate (T1 ASR) and a Lotus Exige fitted car cover.

The pictures will show all the scuffs, marks, wear & tear from 20yrs of climbing in and out. The tacho needle fell off at about 40K miles, never bothered to replace/fix it .. the engine tells me when to change. Always allowed the engine to warm-up before taking off.

The price I'm asking is well below market, it is the amount i need. It is not a STARTING PRICE, AN OPENING PRICE, it is THE PRICE so please do remember that before deciding whether you want to proceed.
