1986 FORD SIERRA

Rarely do they come along like this.This Cosworth 3dr in moonstone blueHas had just one former keeper from new .The last owner who were two friendsPurchased the car in 1989 . At that point, it had just 33,000 miles on the clock.It was a totally standard car.They did a further 17,000 miles in the carBefore putting it into dry storage in 1993. The story, then moves forward to present day.They decided to pull the car from its slumberAnd in there own words the condition was no do similar to the day they put it in!! They felt it prudent to get it fully recommissioned.It was entrusted to a good friend of ours, who is a renowned Cosworth mechanic and highly regarded.The story from there is probably best described by the previous owner themselves in the words below. i can confirm we have owned the car since 1989 it has 50,200 genuine miles on it it was put into dry store at some point in 1993 due to other commitmentsand new hobbies the recommissioning works were carried out by Steve Glover in Telford(NOTE : an ex employee of nick whale /FERRARI/TVR/PORSCHE/ ) he can attest to this All Mechanicals were stripped and examined repaired/replaced wherenecessary by Steve (inc engine) as we were actually going to keep itand use/show it ! where ever possible we used new old stock (spare set of old/new cossie plugs in the boot as well) newish D40's fitted on refurbed (by the guys who do the Ferraris/astons etc) wheels (note we kept the D40'S in the boot as we were usingbridgestones back in the day, hence why they are mint ! ) and parts sourced from other cossie ownersapart from a few things we couldn't get E.G. : like the RAD (old one couldn't be refurbished so a new one purchased from Rad tec Cannock)fuel tank g Goode rear section of exhaust g Goodenew rear tailgate lifting struts non genuine / old genuine ones in the boot can be re done i confirm the works and parts came to over £25k ! i have driven the car and it drives fantasticThis is without doubt one of the best you will find . We are delighted to have been able to purchased itA genuine, low mileage exceptional, CosworthThat has been cherishedThere are not many like this left
