ASTON MARTIN VANQUISH S ULTIMATE
Background:
Aston Martin’s flagship V12 Vanquish model, designed by Ian Callum, was launched at the Geneva Motor Show and produced until 2007. Featuring an advanced alloy and composite structure and Aston Martin’s most powerful V12 engine, the new model boasted a host of advanced technologies – though more were added by Q Division for James Bond in 2002’s ‘Die Another Day’!
The Vanquish S was introduced in 2004, with an upgraded version of the naturally-aspirated 5.9-litre Aston V12 producing at least 466PS (460hp) and a tarmac-tearing 542Nm of torque. With 6-speed manual gearbox controlled by an electro-hydraulic paddle shift the Vanquish S delivered new performance benchmarks for the company, with a sub-five second 0-100kph (62mph) sprint and a top speed exceeding 190mph (306kmh). Subtly and beautifully brutal, this Callum masterpiece was lauded from launch, heralded as ‘The Ultimate Grand Tourer’ by Road & Track.
The Vanquish represented the end of an era for Newport Pagnall as the last all-new model to be assembled largely by hand at the firm’s traditional venue and to mark that, Aston Martin took the decision to produce the ultimate Vanquish S - the Ultimate Edition - produced in limited numbers. Finished in a specially created paint, Ultimate Black, the cars were finished with 2+2 seating, Obsidian Black leather with silver stitching, chrome black interior accents and individually numbered sill plaques.
The car:
This stunning Vanquish S Ultimate is number 10 of 20 right-hand drive examples, out of a total production of 50 (30 being LHD).
Discreet and understated, the Vanquish S is one of the ultimate ‘iron fist in a velvet glove’ Grand Tourers, happy to cross continents while cossetting its occupants in luxury.
This magnificent example comes complete with all books, keys, fobs, boot-mounted umbrella etc. and a very full service history, the most recent being carried out at Aston Martin Workshops in June this year.
With just over 5,000 miles on the clock, this is the lowest mileage Ultimate on the market today and is in true collector’s condition, coming out of a small private Collection, complete with its AML number plate. It’s simply exquisite and wants for nothing.
Summary:
An incredibly rare opportunity to purchase an as-new Aston Martin Vanquish S Ultimate. Nurture and cherish it or reel in horizons at a prodigious rate, the choice could be yours. But you’ll need to move fast.
