MAZDA MX-5 (NC) I 2007

Looking to sell this monster to someone who'll have some fun with it. The brainchild of a group of experienced engineers/fabricators it was built to see how far it's possible to go with the most inappropriate base car. It has 240mm clearance under the chassis and the clearance angles are off the scale, far better than any stock Land Rover. It proved itself over a day of green laning in Wales, completing Upper and Lower Claerwen, then Strata Florida without getting stuck.

The base car is a 2007 2.0l manual MX-5 in Speed Blue with 123k miles and 3 previous owners. It has the stronger 5 speed gearbox and came with an LSD from the factory. Just had a fresh MOT in as modified condition, expiring 14/08/2025. Most of the service history is with the car and the last service was in January 2024.

Modifications:

• Anti roll bars deleted front and rear to maximise articulation

• Front and rear arches trimmed and seam welded for tyre clearance

• Bulkhead pinch welds trimmed and flush welded for tyre clearance

• 16" steel modular wheels with 27" road legal mud tyres

• Front and rear arch extensions to keep things legal

• Custom built TIG welded lift kit to raise the suspension ~50mm

• High clearance front tube bumper

• 6mm aluminium skid plate and HD grill

• High clearance rear tube bumper

• Air intake relocated to engine bay to improve wading capability

• High exit exhaust to improve departure angle

• Bumpers, skid plate and roll bar hoops 'Raptored' for protection and durability

• Faux CB aerial

If you want attention this is the car for you, it gets more looks and comments than any supercar driving around town. And if attention isn't your thing, then it'll take you to the most remote parts of the UK accessible by vehicle.
