1962 Jaguar E-Type 3.8 FHC Series 1

Presented in its original colour scheme of opalescent dark green with suede green leather.

Purchased by myself on behalf of a family member from highly regarded specialist E-Type UK in 2010. The car was actually the personal car of the brother of the director of ETUK and thus was supplied with a few of their sensible upgrades including Coopercraft brakes, upgraded radiator and electric cooling fan, steel wire wheels with Pirelli 205/70 15 tyres, and a full synchro gearbox. Clearly as the car was owned by a family member of the business it was deemed by them to be a very good example of the marque. It was featured in some of their company promotional adverts too!

The car has recently had a high quality repaint in the original factory colour of opalescent dark green. The car was rebuilt with various new seals etc. and the results are stunning. Needless the say the bodywork now presents free of stone chips, marks or scratches.

A highly desireable series 1 3.8 FHC is a superb colour with some nice upgrades and improvements by the aforementioned E-Type UK and a history file dating back to when the car was just a few years old. Authentic examples such as this with a known provenance are very few and far between.
