Hugely rare Ferrari Dino 246GT - Original Factory Wide Bodied Car

A very rare UK supplied right hand drive ‘E - Series’ Flares example regarded by many as possibly the most desirable of the Dino series.

First registered in 1973 chassis #06996 is one of just 12 RHD UK supplied 'Flares & Chairs’ ever built, these cars being the only rhd cars to have the wide fender flares, wider wheel housings plus the wider Elecktron 7.5x14 Campagnolo alloy wheels.

A genuine time warp example with a mere four owners from new including single ownership for the last 35 years.

In addition this is the only car of its type in the world to have left the Factory finished in the much sought after Marrone Dino Metallizzato (106-M-73 Light Tan Metallic).

The car comes with a huge history, full matching numbers as well as original engine, gearbox, chassis, body, seat's, glass and as well as the vitally important Campagnolo wheels (including spare).

The car also retains its ultra rare original warranty card, owners manual, leather wallet and spare keys.

The audit trail bares testimony to our having spent £150k+ on the car whilst in our care and a great deal of that money has been spent on the car being professionally dismantled and stripped down to its bare metal form with extensive work in preparation for paint (the previous owner having resprayed the car ‘re-sale red' during the mid 1980’s).

Indeed with so many cars repainted during the 80”s and 90”s its often hard to find a Dino 'as delivered' in the unusual 1970’s shades never mind one as rare as Marrone which is an extremely attractive period colour.
