2001 Honda

DC5 2001 (Pre Facelift) 113k miles. MOT August 2025.

Imported 2005, first service stamp at 9,800 miles, stamps and/or invoices for all maintenance since then (all invoices back to 2013). BIMTA certificate for mileage on import. 3 previous owners.

Mechanicals and mods:

- Tegiwa carbon intake

- Japspeed 4-2-1 decat manifold

- Mugen exhaust system

- K-100 ECU, mapped by TDI North to 239bhp in 2014.

- Eibach Pro springs and Eibach camber bolts (fitted 2014)

- Hardrace bushes all round including solid engine and gearbox mounts.

- Michelin PS4s with good tread.

Maintenance:

- Always looked at by specialists – PerformanceTek in Glasgow by the previous owner, then TGM Sport in Farnborough and Performance Automotive in Fairford under my ownership.

- Last serviced at 110,270 miles. Oil changed every 8-9000 miles.

- No smoke in VTEC. Uses very little oil for a K20 (<500ml/1000 miles)

-Never been on track in my or the previous ownership.

Exterior:

- Rear arches/sill corners were cut out and fully rebuilt by Martin Pollard bodyshop in March 2024. See final image for the extent of the work. They also repainted the front bumper after my neighbour’s dozy offspring drove into it on Christmas day and left scuff marks. Total bill was £3,800.

- Underbody waxed by TGM Sport in 2021

- Some rusty stone chips on bonnet. A few other hairline scratches etc. Other than that, pretty good condition. It’s not a show queen, it’s been a daily driver, but it’s in presentable condition for a 23 year old car.

- C-Pack (rear tints, rear wiper, wind deflectors)

Interior:

- Blue/blue, which you will know is the fastest and best colour scheme. Seat bolsters are in good nick.

- Aircon is nice and cold.

- Re-upholstered leather wheel.

- Intact parcel shelf and flare

- Pioneer Carplay DAB touchscreen double DIN stereo with USB connection in glovebox.

- Reversing camera

I have owned and adored this car for the past five years, frankly I can’t believe I’m putting it up for sale. I've covered over 30,000 miles and done several foreign trips, including the Route Napoleon (see penulitmate picture) and Le Mans Classic. But sadly we’ve bought a new house so a) I need the money and b) I don’t want to ruin this by carting loads of DIY stuff around the place in it. After 5 years I think it’s also time for someone else to enjoy it as much as I have done.
