Here at Quick and Big Ltd we are thrilled to offer for sale, our unique Mark 2, Ford Capri 2.0S, with a surprise under the bonnet, its powered by a recently rebuilt Sierra Cosworth YB. Over £70k has been invested in this stunning Signal Orange Capri. Of the hundreds of special cars we have sold, I’d love to keep this one!

I’m delighted to say its about are far removed from the new “Capri” as its possible to get!

It’s a simple recipe, find the best, restored Mark 2, 2.0S and add around £60,000 worth of improvements and upgrades, the result the stunning Fast Ford seen here, it is difficult to believe that its nearly 50 years old. Our Cossy Capri is very, very cool, if we could keep it, we would!

It was built for its petrol head and Capri enthusiast owner, by respected classic Ford Specialists, Andy’s Auto’s in Rochester, Kent.

All Fast Fords are appreciating rapidly in value, Capri’s are no exception. Our example is unique, beautifully presented, looks fantastically original internally and externally (until you open the bonnet), it is ready to show and enjoy, with an iconic, and increasingly valuable power train.

Those of us from Gen X, remember the Fast Fords that were inaccessible in our youth, they are now obtainable. Here’s your chance to own one, that will draw an educated and appreciative crowd.

Our Signal Orange Capri’s (presented in its original colour) build was commissioned in 2015, and started with the purchase of the best 2.0S available at the time, having been the personal car of one of the owners of “Restore A Ford.” Its spent most of the next 10 years with some of the most respected names in the business being converted and improved, it that time its only covered around 1000 miles.

Our Cossy powered 2.0S comes with a huge history file, it’s a great read, it includes a stack of over 30 tax discs, back to its first on in 1978 (in the window), numerous old MOT’s back to 2001, and a fascinating pile of invoices for its conversion to its current spec, along with numerous photographs. The history file is a great read.

AGH 346S was registered on 16/12/1977, as such its correctly registered at a “Historic” vehicle with the associated road tax, MOT and ULEZ benefits. It’s showing an indicated mileage of 46,578, backed up by MOT’s back to 2001. And has had only 4 previous keepers in the last 48 years.

Our unique Capri’s conversion did not just focus on the engine, brakes, fuel system, gearbox, interior etc are all upgraded.

Its YB has been rebuilt by Specialised Engines, and is running standard boost. The Cosworth engine is of course renowned for its tuning potential, a 3 bar map sensor, green injectors and a chip upgrade should see comfortably over 300bhp.

The spend and spec are documented (with numerous pictures) in detail in the comprehensive folder that accompanies the car. The invoices add up to around £60k, from the likes of: Andys Autos, The Capri Club, RS Cosworth Breakers, Fast Road Conversions, The Gearbox Centre, APF Gears Ltd, Ashford Motorsport, Roadcraft, Specialised Engines, and Grove Garage.

Its beautiful RS alloy wheels are shod with 205/60/13 tyres with 8mm of tread all round. It comes with spare wheel, load cover, and period Sharp cassette player.

To summarise our unique RS Cosworth Capri is an opportunity to acquire a stunning, and very fast old school Ford. Its period looks are bang on. You would never know its anything other than a very lovely 2.0S until it comes past you, dump valve chattering, and a you get glimpse of its, exhaust and brakes.

It will have an independent 90+ point pre delivery inspection, for the new owners benefit. It is of course HPI clear and a full HPI report will be available to potential purchasers.
