1975 Ferrari 308 GT4

The 308 GT4 made its first public appearance at the 1973 Paris Motor Show and production started shortly thereafter. Like the 246 Dino, the 308 GT4 carried only ‘Dino’ badges throughout the first few years of production. The 308 GT4 was a groundbreaking model for Ferrari in many ways. It was the first Ferrari to be powered by a transversely mounted V8 engine and the first Ferrari designed by Bertone. It was a great success for Ferrari and almost 3,000 examples were built over six years of production until 1979. Like the 246 Dino, the 308 GT4 carried only ‘Dino’ badges throughout the first few years of production. The Dino is practical, it has a reasonable sized boot and the rear seats provide additional space. The Iconic shape has aged gracefully and the renewed interest in the 308 GT4 has been reflected in the way prices have begun to appreciate in recent years.
Chassis 11572
1 of 547 UK RHD produced
Delivered by Maranello Concessionaires on 7th November 1975.
Very rare 'Boxer' paint finish of Bianco Polo Park/Satin Nero with VM3015 Luxan Blue interior, our research indicates less than five RHD's had this paint option. Full leather interior also a rare option along with aircon and electric windows.
Being an early Dino badged Series 1 GT4, the sole Cavalino was placed by the supplying dealer directed by factory technical bulletin 266/8, all others badges are Dino including the horn button, wheel centre caps and bonnet. Another feature of these early cars are the exposed fog lights which are housed behind the grill on the later series examples.
In 2013 after a period of time in dry storage chassis 11572 had extensive works carried out which included a repaint in original colours, new door rubbers, new spot lights and re-chromed front & rear bumpers. All 5 wheels refurbished, new wheel nuts and centre caps. All corners had new springs, shocks and bushes. An unleaded conversion was carried out with new fuel lines, fuel pump, water pump, header tank, water hoses, new clutch & cable, new starter and alternator refurbished. A new stainless steel exhaust was fitted along with new manifolds. Since these works chassis 11572 has been maintained by Foskers and is now ready to delight its new owner.
