Description
Having received a complete restoration, the body and panel gaps are incredible. The attention didn't stop at the bodywork, the engine, chassis, suspension and brakes have all been overhauled too and the car drives as well as it looks. We will have the car rolling road tuned, in order to extract its full potential before a new owner takes the key, as it really is spot on, that's the only thing we can do to make it any better! The interior was fully re-trimmed to a very high standard, chrome re-plated and all of the fittings and fixtures are just so. This car would have commended north of £200k a few years back, but the market has dropped somewhat since, so this is a true bargain for the amount and calibre of car you're getting. I believe the restoration itself ran into £120k plus! We have a thick folder supporting this, with all parts sourced from marque specialists such as SNG Barrett and the like. TECHNICAL SPECIFICATION: Chassis 661160 was built in 1954 as a Birch grey RHD car and sent to Emil Frey in Zurich and retains its original matching numbers gearbox, engine and paint scheme. The interior has been changed slightly in that instead of biscuit & red, it is only red now, but we think it suits the car down to a tee and hasn't removed the original wishes of the first owner, which is a nice touch. The full restoration left absolutely no stone unturned. In order to prepare the car for sale, HPC Classics have thoroughly inspected it in our workshop and have rectified the issues we found, so you should have trouble-free motoring, as much as is practicable in a 1950's sports car that is! The car is currently registered in France, meaning that no additional taxes will be payable to retain it there, and only local fees for the rest of Europe. Or and very luckily, if you wish to be its first U.K owner, the car has a declaration that it was imported here pre-Brexit! So again, no additional tax on top. HPC Classics will gladly assist with the paperwork too, so that you can be the first person to drive her officially on the road of the United Kingdom. The car comes with a large history file full of its restoration invoices, a heritage certificate from Jaguar and an XK series booklet. If you're looking for an XK120 OTS, then this has to be one of the best available. Besides those with alloy bodies and period race history, but then they'll be three times the price. What a fabulous motor car, for very sensible money. It will look at home in any collection, will it be yours?
