Ferrari 365 GT4 BB - London Motor Show Car - Classiche Certification

Furlonger are delighted to have reacquired this exceptionally well-presented Ferrari 365 GT4 BB. Chassis no. 18685 had the privilege of being exhibited at the 60th London Earls Court Motor Show, positioned next to Niki Lauda and his Ferrari 312 T. Ordered new via Maranello Concessionaires in July 1975, this 365 GT4 BB was configured in the very rare Rosso Cordoba Metallizzato over a Beige hide interior, the same specification it wears today.

Naturally, this Ferrari 365 GT4 BB would change hands between like minded enthusiasts and collectors throughout its life, all of whom sought to enjoy the car but ensure it remained meticulously maintained and excellently presented in all regards, regardless of expense. Some of the car’s keepers would cherish it with long-term ownerships, the majority of whom has been comprehensively recorded in the car’s extensive history file.

Chassis no. 18685 retains the fitting registration number ‘BOX 365’. Purchased by a previous custodian, this personalised registration is still assigned to the car today.

Furlonger were fortunate to have handled the sale of this Ferrari 365 GT4 BB on two separate occasions, both being conducted off-market, with the most recent completing in 2023. The car has been used sparingly by both gentlemen, and we’re extremely pleased to confirm that it presents in the same order as when it first visited our showroom and workshop in 2020.

Now offered for sale, chassis no. 18685 poses a remarkable opportunity to purchase one of the most significant Berlinetta Boxers in the UK, with an astoundingly well-recorded service and ownership history, and desirable provenance of having been a motor show car. We have handled the sale of numerous 365 GT4 BBs at Furlonger, but few can contend with the presentation, history and preservation of this example. The car is accompanied by files containing ownership documentation, maintenance history invoices, and photographs; the likes of which we have never seen before.

The 365 GT4 BB marks a key turning point in Ferrari’s legacy, succeeding the 365 GTB/4 ‘Daytona’ and adopting a rear-mid engine layout that would see production right through to the Testarossa family in the late ‘90s. Just 387 365 GT4 BBs were produced by Ferrari, and this example is one of just 58 right-hand drive models delivered to the UK market. The rarest among the Berlinetta Boxer series and one of the lowest production 12-cylinder Ferraris ever produced in right-hand drive. This Ferrari 365 GT4 BB is supplied with Classiche Certification.
