EXTERIOR

Of exemplary racing lineage, the 458 has multiple endurance victories around the globe and everything about this car shouts performance – sculpted to optimise aerodynamics the body features multiple features for airflow from adaptive intakes, vents, fins and large scoops channelling air to vital radiators and utilising it to increase down force and discard anything that might slow it down. Finished in special cost option Giallo Triplo Strato this Aperta looks absolutely fanastic up close, complimented by launch specification ‘Wide’ T Speciale stripe in Blu Nart / Bianco Avus – further enhanced and protected by Full PPF.

A functional design masterpiece that combined with the ‘last of the line’ naturally aspirated V8 mid engine layout, a sensational open top experience and a limited production car Ferrari it will remain a firm favourite that will go down in history as one of Maranellos finest work.

There are many optional updates to be found on this 458 including the carbon front flaps, B post trims and rear diffuser – offering considered contrast to the bright bodywork.

INTERIOR

Presented in excellent order, this cabin is wild to say the least. Two screens displaying live running characteristics, the familiar ‘manettino’ with traction, gearbox and engine map settings along with the extended carbon stalk that house auto, reverse and maximum attack launch mode make for a space odyssey-like setup.

The seats are finished in 3D Blu Scuro / Giallo alcantara fabric with yellow stitched horses proudly displayed on the headrests. These are wonderfully supportive with no cosmetic issues to report, whilst surrounding carbon trim on door cards, gearbox tunnel and foot well all retain deep lacquer with no scores or scratches. A stunning place to be, truly complimentary of the exterior, and an event in itself once installed in the driver’s seat even with the engine off.

With the retractable roof available at the the touch of a button, the glorious V8 can be enjoyed to it’s fullest.

ENGINE & TRANSMISSION

With the engine intake constructed out of beautifully weaved carbon fibre and proudly displaying its designation and Ferrari branding, this 4.5 litre is an absolute work of art and unique in both form and function. The numbers are breathtaking – 14:1 compression, 9000rpm limit, 600hp and only 3 seconds to 60mph. Crackling loudly into life, those unaware will jump at the sound – a sharp cacophony of unmistakable V8 that settles immediately into a purposeful idle all deliciously louder with the aluminium hard top folded away.

The 7 speed dual clutch transmission is stunningly fast defining the realms of what’s possible in gear change speed. The Speciale Aperta is the 4th car from Ferrari to have no manual gated option after the other greats – the Enzo, Stradale and Scuderia.

WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES

Designed specifically for the Aperta, the 20 inch forged 5 spoke wheels are over 12kgs lighter than the 458 Spider’s allowing for increased agility and a finer balance.

The wheels are unmarked and shod in the venerable Michelin Pilot Sport CUP 2s. Ceramic brakes, with optional Blu brake calipers, round up the fantastic colour-way of this very special Aperta.

HISTORY FILE

Ordered and delivered by Meridien Modena in March of 2015 to it’s sole UK owner, this unique Aperta has full supplying dealer history from new.

With 8 stamps from Meridien in the original warranty card booklet, the car received it’s last service in August of 2024 at 9,587 miles. Front brake CCM wear was measured at 3% with the rears at 4% worn, while brake pads all exhibited 9mm+ alongside all TPMS sensors registering ok with 120 months of battery life remaining.

Spare key and full book pack are accounted for alongside all invoicing and MOT certificates from new.
