Aston Martin DB6
From a private collection, Matching numbers example, Recent restoration totalling over £152,000, Invoice totalling over £32,000 from Nicholas Mee Aston Martin specialists in May 2025, Offered in a desirable colour combination This DB6 was originally sent to the US and allocated the chassis number DB6/2604/LN. According to AML records, 2604 was one of thirty DB6 Saloons that were subsequently returned to the U.K. between May and August 1967 to help sate demand for the DB6 from UK buyers. Thirteen were re-engineered by Aston Martin themselves as a right-hand drive and the chassis number suffix changed to an R to reflect the revised steering arrangement. 2604 was then sold to its first UK owner by Lazenby Garages Ltd of Rothley, Leicestershire. Originally ordered in Fiesta red over a black interior and specified with an automatic BorgWarner gearbox and, because of its original destination in the US, specified with 'Normalair' air conditioning - a rare addition for the original Mk1 models. Now presented in the desirable colour combination of iconic Silver Birch coachwork over a black leather interior and featuring the much sort after manual ZF gearbox. This example has recently been lovingly restored by Amazing Autos in South Wales, Aston Workshop, and Nicholas Mee with the total cost in excess of £152,000. Amazing Autos were entrusted to take the car back to bare metal with bodywork repaired where necessary before being fully repainted. The interior has also been retrimmed which included the front leather seats, headlining, dashboard and carpets. The brightwork is also in excellent condition having recently been re-chromed and the suspension and mechanicals have also been restored by marquee specialist. The engine, running gear, and ancillaries have been treated to much renovation work and a major service at a cost of over £32,000 undertaken by Nicholas Mee Aston Martin specialists in May 2025. Offered with its heritage certificate, many invoices and bills relating to the restoration, the current UK registration document, and an extensive photographic file detailing the restoration process and work. Although not currently fitted the original BorgWarner automatic gearbox is also included in the sale. The full history file and more pictures can be sent by email on request - please contact a member of our team for details. This vehicle can be viewed in London. Viewing by appointment only. .
