Description
A restored car in beautiful condition.
The Fiat Dino (Type 135) was a front-engine, rear-wheel-drive sports car produced by Fiat from 1966 to 1973. The Dino name refers to the Ferrari Dino V6 engine, produced by Fiat and installed in the cars to achieve the production numbers sufficient for Ferrari to homologate the engine for Formula 2 racing.
Purchased in Italy while working abroad in 1986 the owner brought it back to New Zealand on his return. The car was then slowly restored by himself with the Auto Restorations team doing the engine. Since then the car has been highly maintained and used mainly for club car runs and tours.
On top of the car itself the sale includes many spares including two engine blocks plus most of the parts to assemble them as well as two gearboxes etc. See parts list in images.
A number of known upgrades were carried out during the rebuild and again these can be viewed in the images.
Early 2 ltr cars are hard to find and this is prepared in perfect running condition, looking stunning in red with tan interior. Don't miss out.
