Our car was delivered to its first owner Eric Dennis Garrett of Westbourne Terrace London, in Rosso Cina with black interior. The car was registered with the number plate "DYX 6 C" - the plate which it retains to this day.
In amongst all the early build sheets, there is some fascinating correspondence between Colonel Ronnie Hoare and Garrett, relating to the early use of the car but also tentative interest from Maranello Concessionaires in commissioning Garrett and his colleagues to undertake marketing activities for the UK Ferrari distributor. This correspondence extends for some years relating to the maintenance of the car and it is clear that Garrett with his additional ownership of a GTS was an important customer. Garrett would go on to keep the car for years and it was not until 1982 that RS Williams - the Aston Dealer - sold the car to it's second owner Heinz Hove in Germany.
Hove was in the beverage trade and paid £28,000 for the car with the odometer reading 7700 miles. Heinz went on to use this car at a number of Ferrari events in Germany aswell as a foray over to Mas du Clos and maintained the car fastidiously - usually with  Methusalem Garage in Troisdorf-Spich, Germany. He also added a period radio below the dashboard and loud speakers in the doors and a "D" country sticker for Deutschland (Germany) on the right rear between the license plate and the tail light.
In 1994 the car was featured in the German magazine "Motor Klassik" by Ferrari expert Marcel Massini and up untill February 2007, Hove was still regularly using the car with the odometer showing 39800 miles. Hove kept the car untill October 2013 whereupon it was acquired by DK Engineering for a client to use on events. The car was sensitively restored to as new factory specification and my brother and I showed this car at the 2014 Salon Prive a year later.
Since then the car has been used on a few select tours and maintained expertly without regard to expense by DK Engineering.
A reference example of the extremely rare series 1 RHD short nose 275 GTB, the car comes with a huge history file and correct toolkit. It is in fantastic condition and as you would expect with a car which has been regularly maintained by DK - drives superbly.
A rare opportunity.
