Triumph Spitfire
- Extensively restored example - In excellent condition - Recent road test and running and driving very well - Fitted with a more powerful Spitfire Mk IV 1296cc engine This fantastic example was registered new on 7th May 1963 and has recently been treated to an extensive restoration. During the restoration the body was removed, and the chassis was completely stripped back, repaired and repainted, the body was upgraded with a fibreglass replacement and the mechanicals and engine were extensively rebuilt and restored. The interior too was fully retrimmed and is fresh with no blemishes to report other than some minor carpet marks in the passenger footwell. Presented in light blue coachwork over a blue leather interior and sitting on a set of white Minilite wheels the Spitfire looks superb, the engine bay is very clean and presents in superb order. It's clear to see a huge amount of time and money have been spent bringing this example to its best. More recently the Triumph has been shaken down covering circa 100 miles since completion of the restoration. In excellent running and driving condition the Spitfire sounds fantastic when on song. Offered with a history file containing, some sundry invoices, a job card confirming the completion of the restoration with the last bill totalling £3, 967. 91, a recent Mot with no advisories valid until May 2026, two Spitfire workshop manuals, a Spitfire spares catalogue, and its current UK registration document. Ready to be enjoyed immediately by its new owner this is a fun and very well sorted example ready for the summer months ahead. The full history file and more pictures can be sent by email on request - please contact a member of our team for details. This vehicle can be viewed at our Sussex office.
