It's with a heavy heart that I'm offering my cherished TVR Griffith 500 for sale. Since acquiring her in August 2022, I've covered around 4,000 miles over nearly three years, testament to her unwavering reliability and my enjoyment. Unlike many low-mileage examples, this Griffith has been consistently used, avoiding the extended periods of sitting that these cars dislike. Indeed, she's seen 6,000 miles in the past five years alone!

This car boasts a rare combination of exceptionally low mileage and impeccable maintenance. For over 18 years, her previous owner diligently dry-stored and regularly serviced her, ensuring MOTs were always obtained despite limited annual mileage.

Since my ownership, I've invested over £8,000 in further improving this fantastic car, ensuring she's truly future-proofed. She's always been garaged under my care, a practice I believe has been consistent throughout her life. This recent investment includes very thorough 12K and 6K services within the last three years, new ethanol-resistant fuel lines, upgraded Ben Lang Bilstein dampers, fresh discs, pads, and braided brake lines, new front tyres, a powerful high-torque starter motor, and a comprehensive Carl Baker electrical overhaul and immobiliser upgrade – a crucial improvement for any TVR!

Dan Taylor TVR has been my trusted specialist (highly recommended!), meticulously preparing the car for trouble-free trips, including yearly pilgrimages to Le Mans 24h. Dan consistently remarks on how she feels "like a new TVR" and is a "good 'un," a testament to her solid, original chassis requiring no repairs.

While truly stunning, there are some minor aesthetic points: the walnut veneer dash has typical cracking (which occurred on my first drive home), the passenger side carpet door card shows some sun bleaching, and the driver's door reflector is missing.

This Griffith is a rare find, ready for its next passionate owner to enjoy with confidence.

Early Life and Previous Ownership.

September 1, 1998 (1,093 miles): Its very first 1K mile service was carried out by The TVR Centre.

July 20, 1999 (4,330 miles): A 6K mile service by Henley Heritage.

July 9, 2001 (8,896 miles): Henley Heritage completed the 12K mile service.

April 15, 2002 (10,060 miles): Received an 18K mile service from Adrian Blyth, just prior to a previous change of hands on

April 19, 2002, which included a fresh service and MOT.

June 17, 2002 (10,454 miles): A clutch replacement was undertaken by Adrian Blyth

March 21, 2003 (11,421 miles): Began a long tenure with APM, starting with a 6K service, electrical fixes for the battery charger and CD player.

March 29, 2004 (12,731 miles): 6K service

March 24, 2005 (13,450 miles): 6K service and MOT, followed shortly by a speedo sender and brake light repair on June 2, 2005 (13,525 miles).

May 25, 2006 (14,357 miles): Another 6K service

June 17, 2008 (15,162 miles): A 6K mile service

March 30, 2010: A Clarion hot start kit was purchased

May 23, 2012 (16,197 miles): A significant 6K mile service, including new rear brake pads, fresh brake fluid, and a comprehensive chassis clean, preparation, and protection, safeguarding its structural integrity.

June 4, 2014 (16,860 miles): A low mileage service, MOT

June 17, 2016 (17,008 miles): MOT, low mileage service, and sleeving of the exhaust.

June 15, 2018 (17,355 miles): MOT, 6K mile service, and a thorough check-over.

June 30, 2021 (17,543 miles): The final recorded service with APM, a 12K mile service plus MOT.

Since acquiring this incredible car in August 2022, I've committed to continuing its impeccable maintenance, entrusting it to highly regarded specialists to ensure it remains in peak condition and, where possible, enhancing its performance and reliability with key upgrades.

October 18, 2022 (20,198 miles): Shortly after acquisition, Sussex TVR performed a full inspection and 6K mile service, fitting new front pads, new braided brake hoses, and new fuel hoses, significantly enhancing braking performance and fuel system reliability.

December 14, 2022 (20,274 miles): Sussex TVR fix the speedo and repair the boot release button.

January 8, 2023: The rear screen on the hood was professionally replaced by CAR TRIM, restoring clarity and aesthetics.

September 29, 2023: Carl Baker performed an immobiliser replacement and a comprehensive electrical overhaul, ensuring modern security and reliability.

January 8, 2024: A highly sought-after set of Ben Lang Tuscan S Bilstein Dampers was acquired, ready for fitment to significantly upgrade handling and ride quality.

May 24, 2024: A PowerLite high torque starter motor was purchased, solving a start issue.

August 2, 2024 (21,478 miles): A major 12K service by Taylor TVR, which included new discs, ball joints, clutch master and slave cylinders, engine mounts, and additional ethanol-compliant fuel lines, alongside new front tyres.

September 6, 2024: Received a Signature valet and Stage 2 paint correction from InstClean

September 7, 2024 (22,786 miles): Taylor TVR performed an MOT and fitted the new PowerLite starter motor, ensuring crisp starts.

May 2, 2025 (23,343 miles): The latest 6K service from Taylor TVR included fitting the new Bilstein shocks and sealing the sump oil leak and changing the wishbone bushes.
