Overview
Many would assert that the Continental GT was the car that saved Bentley. And it's a pretty compelling argument. Not only was it a financial success but it also ushered in a whole new era of volume production for the firm, one that we as car fans are still feeling the effects of today.
And you can forget all of that Premiership footballer nonsense. Yes, the Bentley Continental GT may have been a favourite amongst fashionable footy stars but that doesn't make it any less compelling as an eminently capable modern classic offering for the less sporting among us.
Introduced in 2003 the Continental GT was a stroke of genius by Bentley, quite frankly. Here was a beautifully styled luxury GT with a whopping great twin-turbo W12 under the bonnet pushing out over 550bhp, allowing one to travel across miles of tarmac in supreme comfort. Never was the Continental moniker so fitting.
Bentley knew it was on to a winner and so the second generation Continental GT went on sale in 2011, now featuring a choice of either the aforementioned W12 or a 500bhp 4.0-litre V8 – again with twin whirly boys – available as either a coupe or convertible.
And the latter is what we have available for your bidding pleasure. A 2012 Bentley Continental GTC with the V8 engine. Beautifully presented in stunning white paintwork with an equally sumptuous interior the car is reported to be driving perfectly. Having recently proved itself admirably on a Euro road trip it's ready to continue bringing many more smiles per gallon to its next lucky owner.

Summary
Handsome, powerful and well put together the Bentley Continental truly was a landmark car and continues to be a shrewd choice for any discerning petrolhead with a penchant for the finer things in life.
Clearly cherished, this particular convertible reportedly drives as well as it looks and with just 65k on the clock is ready for its next grand tour. Still able to munch as many miles as you can throw at it, the V8 makes for a more economical alternative to the thirstier W12 to boot.
