TVR Chimaera 450 "Midnight Blue" 1998

This Midnight Blue Chimaera 4.5ltr has been owned and enjoyed by its last custodian for the past 20 years. It has a very full service history with paperwork dating back to 2001 and the service book to its original PDI in 1998.

The bodywork is finished in Midnight Blue which shows nicely from 5 meters but upon closer inspection there are marks all around the car as you would expect of a TVR of this mileage and age. There is some damage to the front lower grill area which would benefit from rectification at some point.

The Navy Blue hood and targa panel are trimmed in Mohair which is starting to shrink slightly.

The wheels are the original Imola 15 and 16 inch fitted with Toyo tyres dated 2020.

The interior is trimmed in Navy Blue with Navy Blue carpets. This is in good condition with slight wear to the drivers seat and some wear to the carpets. The upper and lower dash veneers are in poor condition, cracked and coming adrift.

Overall this Chimaera is an economic way to get into 4.5ltr performance for less than the price of a 4ltr. There are cosmetic issues that could be improved over time but the car generally drives very well. The important jobs have been carried out (Camshaft and lifters 2011, chassis outriggers 2011) and the car is ready to be enjoyed without feeling too precious.

As this car is not prepared to the standards Str8Six normally sells cars, it is not supplied with all the 12's. The preparation will inc 6k service, MOT May 26, 6 mnths tax and 3 months warranty.
