LOTUS EVORA (122) V6 4 2010

I've wanted an Evora since they came out, so when Craig Moncreiff told me he had this one 2 and a half years ago I couldn't say no.

It's our fifth Lotus, 3 Elises and an Exige came before it, and is genuinely a wonderful thing. The ride has to be experienced to be believed and a nicer way of covering large distances I can't imagine. (That's probably true of all Evoras, not specifically this one).

But this one is lovely, just over 28,000 miles in beautiful red paint which was ceramic coated when we got it and still beads magnicently. If you were told the car was a year old you'd believe it.

Inside it has got the oyster leather, a premium interior which makes it feel like a supercar.

Why sell it?

I am cursed that I am trying to buy things that I wanted when I was thirty, but I'm over 50 now and I don't do the things 30 year old me did. I imagined touring the highlands in it, but when we go north we like to have bikes with us and whilst I did toy with the idea of a Seasucker Rack it's just easier to take the van. and I didn't want to scratch it!

And when the sun is shining I like to ride my motorbike.

And whilst my friend's 6'7 son did fit in thge back I can't convince my 5'10 daughter that she should. At least not for a long journey. Should have got one when she was small.

The rear P Zeros are new (last year).
