DESCRIPTION:

CSC present for sale this superb Porsche 911 964 Carrera 4 Cabriolet finished in stunning Gloss Black with complimenting Black hood and Black Leather interior.

This example is in superb condition throughout and really needs to be seen to be appreciated. Externally the Black paintwork presents immaculately and shows off the classic 911 curves beautifully. The car sits on 17-inch Cup alloy wheels which are in immaculate condition with no curbing damage and are fitted with a matching set of Michelins finest Pilots Sport tyres. whilst other details such as the rear light units and central reflector (often found in a poor state) are also in excellent condition with no fading or cracking.

The electrically operated cabriolet hood is as new, completely un-marked and with a perfectly clear rear screen. Finished in black to match the paintwork, the electrically operated hood folds away at the press of a button in just a few seconds. A matching black tonneau cover also comes with the car which can be used to neaten up the car’s aesthetics with the roof down.

Internally the Black Leather interior is also in excellent condition with no major signs of wear. The door storage bins have not suffered from the common sagging issues and the fit and finish of the trim and switchgear defies the cars 34 years.

Mechanically the car runs and drives just as well as it looks. The engine idles smoothly and on the move power delivery is smooth and strong with a glorious flat six howl towards the higher end of the rev range. The 5 speed manual gear box is smooth, precise and a joy to operate. The brakes feel smooth, powerful and confidence inspiring as they should, and the classic 911 steering feel is a real old school treat to a seasoned Porsche enthusiast.

This 964 was originally supplied and 1st registered in the USA until being exported to Germany in 2015. It was advertised for re-sale in 2021 and purchased directly by the current owner for import into the UK.

Being left hand drive, this classic 911 was purchased by the current UK owner for regular trips to their European holiday home for several months each year where the car lived up to all expectations providing top-down classic motoring in its natural environment and making the common toll roads much easier.

An additional ‘plus’ to owning a left-hand drive classic 911 is the much improved driving position with much less of a pedal offset than the right hand drive derivatives and is exactly how Porsche designed the car to be. The relatively small size of these classic 911’s also means that driving the car from the left seat in the UK really isn’t an issue as visibility remains superb all-round.

HISTORY:

This 964 was originally supplied and 1st registered in the USA, registered by Porsche Dealer #1125 – Cincinnati on 19th August 1991. The car resided in the US until 2015 when it was exported, TUV approved and registered in Germany where it remained until being purchased by the current UK owner and imported into the UK in 2021 with 66,000 km (41,000 miles) on the clock with an odometer change to km being documented when the car arrived in Germany back in 2015.

Since arriving in the UK, this 964 has been serviced and maintained by Cheshire Porsche Specialists Ninemeister, with the last service being undertaken in March 2024 just 2,000 km ago.

The car is HPi clear and will be sold with a fresh MOT valid until July 2026.
