In 1982, some 'unofficial' Clan Crusader body moulds were bought by Peter McCandless who started a new company, Clan Cars Ltd, in Newtownards, NI

In 1985, Clan Cars developed a new, mid-engined version called the Clan Clover which utilised a 1,490cc, 105bhp Alfa Romeo flat-four engine and gearbox

This remarkably well-preserved example is believed to be #13 of the circa 20 produced and presents well in glorious red paintwork with grey-piped red sports seats and sits on colour-coded, split-rim, compomotive alloys
