GTO or Gran Turismo Omologato. History shows that only twice before had The Scuderia attached the ultimate mark of speed and desirability to a street machine. Those two cars are the 1962 250 GTO and the 1984 288 GTO - both were defined by performance and an intention to go racing.

Launched in 2010, the 599 GTO is a special series Ferrari built in limited numbers (only 599 were produced) and borrows extensively from both the F1 and track-only Ferrari 599 XX programs. Weighting a 100 Kg less than the GTB and with 661bhp (50bhp up on the GTB) from its’ 6 litre V12, at launch it was the fastest, most powerful road-going Ferrari ever made and lapped Fiorano faster than an Enzo.
