1978 TVR TAIMAR

This lot will be auctioned via Iconic Auctioneers, The Classic Sale at Silverstone Festival 2025 on Sunday the 24th of August, The Wing, Silverstone Circuit, NN12 8TN.

A rightfully sought after, rare example of TVRs first iteration of the M-Series. One of just 395 Taimars produced between 1976-1979

Fitted with the 3-litre Ford Essex V6 engine, rack and pinion steering, disc/drum braking and coil spring with double wishbone suspension

Finished in British Racing Green with an ivory stripe. The car was rewired and the engine had new core plugs in the early 2000s

Purchased by Ant for his Born Mechanic show. Attention included an engine service, the TVR heater box was plumbed back in and the original TVR wheels were refurbished and new tyres fitted (a set of Wolfrace wheels also come with the car)

The Taimar offered a dynamic driving experience with undeniably impressive performance and this well presented example is running and driving nicely and ready to enjoy some winding B-roads once more
