PORSCHE 928 GT

This lot will be auctioned via Iconic Auctioneers, The Classic Sale at Silverstone Festival 2025 on Sunday the 24th of August, The Wing, Silverstone Circuit, NN12 8TN.

For the 1989 Model Year, Porsche introduced the 928 GT with a 5-speed manual gearbox, 'Design 90' 16" alloys, sports suspension and a ZF 40% LSD

They were also fitted with diagnostic and tyre pressure monitoring systems, a digital trip and electric central-locking was introduced

Finished in Slate Grey, this example was supplied new to its first owner by Glenn Henderson of Edinburgh and is one of only 69 cars destined for the UK during 1989, the first year of production

Very good history with previous invoices, Tax Discs, MOTs, photographs and parts invoices for an earlier engine rebuild and the original service book with over 20 stamps (main dealer and specialists)

This particular car has previously been in the limelight as it featured prior to our auction in 2019 as part of a Channel 4 series where members of the public had their antique objects or vehicles restored and then sold 

Purchased by its current owner at that NEC auction in 2019, after the work for the Channel 4 show was completed and he has carried on investing in the car ever since

Further expenditure includes £5,186 in 2022 and £16,000 in November 2024 at Porsche specialists, including Loe Bank Motors of Bury
